I just can't stop! I am knitting everything in sight! I recently found my local Sue Ryder stocked wool, cheap acrylic wool at that but cheap and cheerful. It's a chunky wool so knits up really quickly. So far I have made 6 hats in it! I started off with a nice grey one for my husband but loved it so much that I now wear it (and in this weather I need it!). That took me a couple of evenings to master and now I can whip them out in a couple of hours!
After the grey one, came the mustard then the lime green x 2 (one for my nanny and one for my boss). The the red one for an ex colleague and finally the stripped one for my sister (she works out in Kosovo so pretty cold at this time of year!
I then knitted a very cute baby hat (looks big in pic!) for a friend who knows she is having a girl. This took an evening. It was an odd ball from a ends bin bought for 99p and has made up beautifully. Hopefully it'll be worn!
I have just moved on to cuffs, my new obsession. I bought two remnant balls in a shop recently, purple and heather mixed yarn and it knitted up Really nicely, lovely texture. It was my first attempt at working from a pattern, which a friend gave me. I think it came up a bit bigger then the pattern said but I am learning.
Anyway, on to the next thing!!
Going to the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show this Friday. Very excited. More wool to buy!
